Not an official source
SatChart is not a chart plotter, ECDIS, official nautical chart, official navigation product, official NOAA/NWS warning source, official tide/current table, official fishery-management product, emergency locator, or distress communication tool.
Verify critical information
Verify navigation, depth/hazards, tides/currents, weather/marine warnings, openings/closures, regulations, and emergency/safety information with official sources and onboard instruments.
Known limitations
- Offline data may be stale.
- Satellite/ocean imagery may be delayed, cloud-obscured, interpolated, or unavailable.
- GPS can be inaccurate.
- User-shared locations can be delayed or wrong.
- Radio Group information can be wrong.
- OCR can misread forms.
- Weather/tides can fail or be stale.
- Network service can be unavailable in Bristol Bay.

Emergencies
Use VHF, EPIRB, PLB, DSC, USCG channels, or appropriate emergency procedures. SatChart is not emergency support.
