Data Collection and Controls

Account data

Email, name, vessel name, radio display name, profile settings, and verification status.

Subscription data

Apple-managed purchase status and entitlement information. SatChart does not receive full payment card data from Apple.

Location data

Map position, tide/weather context, optional one-time pins, and optional live sharing. Live sharing can be stopped and is not emergency tracking.

Radio Group data

Groups, membership, roles, invites, shared pins, shared waypoints, display names/vessel names, timestamps, and live locations if enabled.

Logbook and OCR data

Sets, deliveries, tender purchases, notes, OCR fields, and receipt/fish-ticket images where used. OCR results must be reviewed by the user.

Offline map/data packs

Downloaded pack versions, update status, local files, and installer state needed to support offline-aware use.

Diagnostics/support data

Device/app information you provide in support requests or diagnostics used for reliability, troubleshooting, and safety improvements.

Third-party/provider data

SatChart may use Firebase, Cloudflare, Apple, NOAA/NWS/NDBC/CO-OPS, NASA, Copernicus/Sentinel, and other providers depending on feature and app version.

User controls

• Stop live sharing.
• Delete local app data where controls are available or remove the app from the device.
• Request account/data deletion.
• Manage iOS permissions.
• Manage subscriptions through Apple.
